LEDECO and UIBE Joint Study Tour for Global Vision and Multilateral Spirits 2024

From 30 September to 7 October 2024, LEDECO Centre Swiss (LEDECO) organized an in-depth “Study Tour for Global Vision and Multilateral Spirits” jointly with the University of Business and Economics (UIBE) of China. 21 students from different majors and grades participated the tour. Prof. Xiankun Lu, Managing Director of LEDECO Centre Swiss provided guidance for the students through the whole tour.

9月30日-10月7日，瑞士箂科中心与对外经贸大学开展2024“欧洲国际组织深度实践”研学活动，来自贸大多个专业和年级的21位学生参加，贸大教务处副处长钟昀珈老师带队，箂科中心执行主任卢先堃教授全程指导并参与此次研学活动。

During the study tour, the delegation visited 10 international organizations and the Permanent Mission of China to the WTO, including the World Trade Organization (WTO), the International Parliamentary Union (IPU), the International Trade Centre (ITC), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the Geneva Environment Network (UNEP GEN), the International Labour Organization (ILO), the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

期间，贸大代表团共参访了10个国际组织和中国常驻WTO代表团，包括世贸组织（WTO）、国际议会联盟（IPU）、国际贸易中心（ITC）、世界知识产权组织（WIPO）、联合国政府间气候变化专门委员会（IPCC）、联合国艾滋病规划署（UNAIDS）、联合国环境计划署日内瓦环境网络（UNEP GEN）、国际劳工组织（ILO）、红十字会与红新月会国际联合会（IFRC）、国际标准化组织（ISO）等。

Ambassador Zhang Xiangchen, Deputy Director General of the WTO; Chai Xiaolin, Director of WTO Trade in Services and Investment Division; Abdalah Mokssit, IPCC Secretary; Andrej MAHECIC, Head of IPCC Outreach and Media Relations; Ambassador Anda Filip, Director of IPU External Relations; Andree Lorber, Director of IPU Support Services; Kareen Jabre, Director of IPU Programmes; Ma Lianfei, Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of China to the WTO; and Juan Hoyos, Head of the Sustainable Development and Resilient Value Chains, ITC; Bechir N’DAW, Head of Political Cooperation of UNAIDS and other high-level officials of international organizations gave lectures to the delegation and answered students’ questions. The students listened attentively and asked questions actively, learning about the history and functions of the above international organizations, the opportunities and challenges they face and the role played by China, and also gaining a comprehensive understanding of the internship and job opportunities as well as the relevant requirements of these international organizations.

WTO副总干事张向晨大使、WTO服务贸易与投资司司长柴小林、IPCC秘书长Abdalah Mokssit大使、IPCC外联与媒体联络负责人Andrej MAHECIC、IPU对外关系司司长Anda Filip大使、IPU支持服务司司长Andree Lorber、IPU项目司司长Kareen Jabre、中国常驻WTO代表团新公组组长马连斐、ITC可持续发展与韧性价值链项目负责人Juan Hoyos、UNAIDS政治合作负责人Bechir N’DAW等国际组织高级别官员亲自给代表团做了讲座并回答了同学们的问题。同学们认真听讲、积极提问，深入学习了上述国际组织的历史和功能、面临的机遇和挑战以及中国所发挥的作用，也全面了解了这些国际组织的实习和求职机会以及相关要求。
